Hi! My first name is Lani, but I'm a middle name kid so just call me Noelle.
You can usually find me at home, homeschooling my two kiddos, playing with my chickens (yes, you read that right), editing with a cup of coffee and Gilmore Girls, and always wishing it was warm outside.
I have loved photographing things since I was about 5 years old (Power Rangers paper dolls were my subjects), but I never realized it could be a job until I was married, done with a BS and MA degree and teaching high school math. I finally started to pursue photography more and when I had my daughter in 2013, I knew it was time to take the leap and quit my teaching job. My passion was to be a stay at home mama and the fact that doing something I absolutely loved could make that a possibility is still baffling to me.
I do not take lightly that I am capturing such special moments for my clients and I am so very thankful for each and every person who picks me to be part of their life through photography.
I was raised in Southwest Virginia, good ol' Appalachia, and I was sure that I would one day leave and raise a family somewhere else. After graduating college and meeting my now husband, things changed and I ended up right back in my hometown. I love lots of the things I hated as a kid (i.e. gardening) and love raising my kids where I grew up.
My love for photography has taken me to so many places I probably would've never gotten to go. From traveling in different states, to the ocean, and cities and so many places within my own beautiful state. I love seeing this little corner of the world and can't wait to see more of it, but I'm always happy to be home.

"While words will never be enough to fully appreciate the person and professional that Noelle is, I’m certainly going to try. Noelle wasn’t just our wedding photographer, she was an instant member of our “tribe”.
These two may drive me batty sometimes, but I'm so grateful I get to be their mama.

I love the mountains and forever dream of a farm house on a lot of land with some animals, but there is something about the ocean that I love almost equally. It's the most calming and relaxing place and my family loves trips to the beach as often as possible.

I used to be such an avid reader as a kid and I've recently traded out my "scroll Instagram time" for reading. I love most any genre, but a good romance or thriller is my favorite! And my OG favorite is Gone with the Wind.

I love summer senior sessions and Jasmine's did not disappoint. The cutest downtown, fields and the most perfect white barn!

Big Spring Farm in the fall is absolutely stunning. It was the perfect backdrop for Taylor and Alex's wedding day!

I believe that when you see your artwork hanging on the wall, you should remember how you felt while you were in front of the camera. I want to capture special moments and seasons in your life in a way that you can look back on and feel true joy every time.
