I got to kick off the individual senior rep sessions with Allison a few weeks ago. Since we live in the boonies, I tend to get a lot of sessions in fields, out in the country, with barns and other rural backdrops. I love those, but I am always excited to get a senior who has a different vision for their photos.
Allison wanted to find a beautiful garden or historic setting and after trying to make a different place work, we finally settled on the Hahn Horticulture Garden. It was a perfect backdrop with Allison’s bright outfits. We finished up in downtown Blacksburg and randomly found some perfect locations.

What are you looking forward to the most about your senior year?
This year I am looking forward to finishing out my last year at governors school, playing tennis, and making lifelong memories with my friends. I’m really sad that it’s my last year, but I am also so excited for what comes next.
What activities are you involved in both in and out of school?
I play tennis for my high school and also do USTA tournament throughout the summer and year. I’m involved in National Honors society, Interact, FBLA, and this year I hope to do MACC. I’ve also recently liked playing golf and I hope to continue.
What is your favorite way to spend a Saturday?
My favorite way to spend a Saturday is traveling somewhere new or having a new adventure. I like going to different places and exploring.
What can’t you live without?
I can’t live without sweet tea. I drink tea at almost every meal and I don’t think I could ever quit now.
What is your favorite song right now?
My favorite song, now and always, is Dynamo of Volition by Jason Mraz. It’s a super fun song and I love the live versions.
Have you thought about what you’re going to do after high school? What would you like to do?
I want to attend college after high school, hopefully at either UVA or Washington and Lee University. (still thinking but these are my favorites.) I’d like to go into some business or law field and continue playing tennis.
